of reuters Report According to this, Ola Electric will have to undergo audit by the Heavy Industries Ministry. Citing a source and an official instruction, the agency said that the ministry has ordered an audit of the service centers of Ola Electric, which is already under government scrutiny after thousands of complaints from customers and users. Earlier this week, Ola received a notice from the Indian Consumer Protection Agency after 10,000 complaints were filed against the company over issues like delayed service and wrong invoices.
The audit will reportedly ensure that Ola Electric is maintaining its service centers and honoring the warranties given to users. Not only this, it will also be seen whether the company is eligible to come under the government scheme issued to promote electric vehicles or not.
Reports suggest that the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI), a testing and certification agency under the Industry Ministry, has been asked to conduct the audit. If violations are found, Ola’s eligibility to receive incentives under the government scheme may be affected.
