What is Deep Fake?
Deep fake uses machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) to generate fake videos, audios and images. For example, many pictures are combined to make them new. A new image or video is created by attaching the face of a celebrity to the body of another. Deep fake looks absolutely real, due to which it becomes difficult to differentiate between real and fake.
Arunita’s pictures going viral on social media are also fake. These have also been prepared with some AI tool. To common users, it may seem real because AI has done its work so clearly that the difference between real and fake is not visible. According to media reports, Arunita’s team has also confirmed that these pictures are fake.
This is not the first case related to deep fake. Deep fake footage of actresses like Rashmika Mandanna, Kajol and Alia Bhatt has also surfaced.
