What is Mental?
Our earth mainly has three layers. Among these, the uppermost thin surface, on which water, soil, life etc. are present, is called crust. Below this is the mantle made of minerals, which goes up to the innermost and third layer – the core. The core is said to be filled with liquids where there is so much heat that nothing can exist in solid form.
The question is, how was the ocean discovered 700 kilometers inside the Earth? Scientists took the help of seismograph in this work. Seismographs were arranged throughout America. These are such waves, which can go deep under the earth and give information about the internal structure of our earth. Scientists studied more than 500 earthquakes. He came to know that while passing through the mantle, the speed of waves decreases in a certain area. From this, scientists came to know that there is water among the rocks.
Although it would not be directly called an ocean, because these are water crystals trapped inside a crystal structure. Scientists believe that this water plays an important role in maintaining the stability of the oceans present on Earth. If this water were on the surface, then only mountains would be visible as land on Earth.
