The XUV400 EL gets a 39.4 kWh lithium-ion battery, which can give a range of about 456 kilometers on a single charge. It has a maximum power of 150 PS and peak torque of 310 Nm. It comes with a 7.2 kW charger.
The company has planned to expand its EV business. For this, Mahindra will invest about Rs 120 billion in its EV unit. It plans to sell some assets related to its EV business to its EV unit for Rs 7.96 billion. The company had said that it will increase the range of EV by next year. The XUV400 competes with MG’s ZS EV and Tata Motors’ Nexon EV. Sales of electric vehicles in the country have increased rapidly in the last few years.
