The Essence Dark Gray variant of the ZS EV has seen the highest increase of around Rs 32,000. The price of its Essence Dual-Tone Iconic Ivory variant has been increased by approximately Rs 31,000. You will have to pay approximately Rs 30,200 more for the Exclusive Plus Dark Gray variant of the ZS EV. Its Exclusive Plus Dual-Tone Iconic Ivory variant has become costlier by around Rs 30,000. However, the company has not increased the prices of the entry-level variants of this EV.
This electric vehicle has received good response from customers. After the increase in prices, the price range of ZS EV has gone from Rs 18.98 lakh to approximately Rs 25.74 lakh (ex-showroom). Last year, the company had received an order for 500 units for the ZS EV from EV ride sharing platform BluSmart Mobility. This electric car will be included in the fleet of BluSmart Mobility in Delhi NCR and Bengaluru. There are six charging options with the ZS EV such as DC super fast chargers, AC fast chargers and portable chargers. MG Motor It is claimed that the ZS EV can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in just 8.5 seconds. It comes with a battery pack of 50.3 kWh capacity, which is coupled with a permanent magnetic synchronous motor.
Last month, MG Motor launched Windsor EV in this segment. The company has started delivery of this electric crossover to customers on Dussehra. Its prices are approximately between Rs 13.50 lakh to Rs 15.50 lakh (ex-showroom). This is the first EV for which the option of Battery as a Service has been given. In this, the starting price of Windsor EV will reduce to around Rs 10 lakh. However, with this, additional battery rental of Rs 3.5 per kilometer will have to be paid. The company had received more than 15,000 bookings within 24 hours of its booking opening. This crossover utility vehicle will have the comfort of a sedan and space like an SUV. Windsor EV can be purchased in three variants – Excite, Exclusive and Essence. It will compete with Mahindra XUV400 and Tata Motors’ Nexon EV.
