Ola Electric Trying to Improve its Service, Presents New Feature in App to Give Service Updates

Ola Electric, one of the big electric two-wheeler companies, has faced difficulties in the last few months due to shortcomings in customer service. The company has also made efforts to resolve service related complaints. In this segment the company is facing tough competition from competitors like Bajaj Auto.

Ola Electric has added a new feature to the Ola HyperService application to provide service status information. The company’s CEO, Bhavish Aggarwal said that with this, customers will be able to get updates about the service of the electric scooter. The company is preparing to increase its network of stores four times. Ola Electric has around 800 stores. Their number will be increased to about 4,000 by the end of this month. Service facility is also available at the company’s existing stores. The company will increase its network of stores to about 4,000 by the end of December. Ola Electric aims to deliver electric two-wheelers to every pincode in the country.

This will also be the largest distribution network of Electric Vehicles (EV) in the country. Recently the company had also expanded its portfolio of electric scooters. Earlier this month, the Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) had asked to provide additional documents regarding the notice given to the company on alleged violation of consumer rights and unfair trade practices.

An email was sent to the company on behalf of CCPA in this regard. Sales of electric two-wheelers have increased rapidly in the last few years. Ola Electric has the highest share in this segment. The company’s sales declined by approximately 33 percent in November. According to the data of the vehicle portal, the registrations of the company’s electric scooters last month were 27,746 units. This is a decline of about 33 percent in the sales of Ola Electric on a month-on-month basis. Last month the company launched S1 Z. This electric scooter will be available in two variants. Its starting price is Rs 59,999 (ex-showroom). The company has electric scooters like S1 Pro, S1 Air and S1X. Recently, Ola Electric also introduced its first commercial electric scooter Ola Gig. The S1 Z has two battery packs of 1.5 kWh each.
