Ola Launches S1 Z Electric Scooter, Range of 75 km

Ola Electric, one of the largest electric two-wheeler companies, has expanded the range of its S1 electric scooters. The company has launched S1 Z. This electric scooter will be available in two variants. Its starting price is Rs 59,999 (ex-showroom). Its delivery will start next year.

Electric scooters like S1 Pro, S1 Air and S1X are present in the company’s portfolio. It has also introduced its first commercial electric scooter Ola Gig. The S1 Z has two battery packs of 1.5 kWh each. However, it can run using one of these battery packs. The range of its single battery pack is about 75 kilometers. With both battery packs of S1 Z, the range can increase to about 146 kilometers. It is included among the most affordable electric scooters. The price of its S1 Z+ variant is Rs 64,999 (ex-showroom).

The S1 Z features a hub-mounted motor that delivers a maximum power output of 3 kW. It can reach a maximum speed of 70 kilometers per hour. Ola Electric launched the electric motorcycle Roadster in August. The company has said that it will soon start manufacturing electric motorcycles. Deliveries of the Roadster will begin from early next year. Manufacturing of this electric motorcycle can start soon in the company’s new Gigafactory. This gigafactory is being upgraded with motorcycles. This electric motorcycle has been launched in three variants – Roadster, Roadster Pro and Roadster X. It will have features like LED projector headlamp, TFT touchscreen display, auto hill-hold assistance, Krutrim voice assistance, parking assist and group navigation.

The Roadster It can reach a speed of 0-40 km/h in about 2.8 seconds. The top speed of this electric motorcycle is about 124 km/h. Ola Electric has claimed its range to be around 200 kilometers on a single charge. It has a 4.3 inch touchscreen. The price of the 2.5 kWh battery pack variant of the Roadster is Rs 1,04,999, the 4.5 kWh variant is priced at Rs 1,19,999 and the 6 kWh variant is priced at Rs 1,39,999. This electric motorcycle can accelerate from 0-40 km/h in 2.2 seconds.
