If DCS leaks are to be believed, the current prototype of the Redmi K80 Ultra hints at an OLED screen with thin bezels. The phone can have a display with 1.5K resolution and will also have an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.
Redmi K80 Ultra will have MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400 Plus chipset. It has also been indicated in the leak that the phone will have a large battery of 6,500mAh. Remember that Redmi K70 Ultra had a 5500mAh battery.
DCS had also told in a leak that many more Chinese smartphone companies are working on smartphones powered by Dimensity 9400 Plus processor and those phones can be launched by mid-2025. It is said that these phones can come in the market with the names iQOO Neo 10S Pro, Realme Neo 7 Pro and OnePlus Ace 5s.
Not only this, Chinese smartphone companies are now also working on compact smartphones, because Apple is about to launch the new iPhone SE. Samsung is working on bringing a compact phone in the Galaxy S series and Google’s Pixel phones already come with a compact version.
Last month, a leak suggested that the Redmi K80 Ultra would have an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner inside the display. Ultrasonic fingerprint scanners provide better security to the phone in many ways. These sensors create a 3D image of the user’s fingerprint based on the 2D mapping of the optical scanner. These are very fast in scanning and can read fingerprints even when the fingers are wet, oily or dirty.
