This smartphone series is less likely to have 8 GB RAM. The Galaxy S25 Ultra may have 16 GB of RAM. With more RAM in these smartphones, there will be more scope for features related to Artificial Intelligence (AI). Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Elite can be used as the processor in this smartphone series.
However, Samsung has not given information about the launch date of the new smartphone series. Some media reports said that the company’s Galaxy S25 series can be launched on January 22. Samsung has a major share in the market of foldable smartphones. Shipments of foldable smartphones have declined by about one percent in the third quarter of the current year. This is the first decline after six consecutive quarters of growth.
After Samsung in this segment, there are Honor, Huawei, Motorola and Xiaomi. According to the report of market research firm Counterpoint, the major reason for the decline in shipments of foldable smartphones in the third quarter could be the weak sales of Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6. However, despite this the company has 56 percent share in this market. Counterpoint’s international foldable smartphone market tracker shows that Samsung’s sales have declined in China’s smartphone market. The main reason behind this is the increasing sales of new foldable smartphones from Honor, Xiaomi and Huawei. Samsung is facing tough competition from Motorola’s new Razr foldable smartphones in North America. China’s Huawei is the second largest company in the international market of foldable smartphones. Recently Huawei introduced the first triple fold smartphone.
