Miranda is located very far from our Sun and is extremely cold. Despite this, there may be an ocean in the middle of its surface. The reason for this is tidal heating. In this situation, friction is created in Miranda due to the gravity of Uranus and other nearby moons. It produces heat. It can keep an ocean so warm that water remains present in liquid form.
