Recently, the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) has found some security-related shortcomings in the Android operating system. According to the advisory issued in this regard, these vulnerabilities in Android can give cyber attackers the means to apply code of their choice on the targeted system. CERT-In has placed these vulnerabilities at a higher level of severity, indicating greater risk to users.
Smartphones and tablets running Android versions 12, 12L, 13, 14 and 15 are at risk. If your smartphone or tablet is running on these versions then there may be problems with your device. This advisory states that this threat is due to deficiencies in Android’s framework, system, Google Play system updates, Imagination Technologies components, MediaTek components, Qualcomm components, and Qualcomm closed-source components.
