What is Starship?
Starship is a reusable rocket. It mainly has two parts. The first is the passenger carry section, which will house the passengers, while the second is the super heavy rocket booster. Including the starship and booster, its length is about 394 feet (120 meters). Whereas the weight is 50 lakh kilograms. According to the information, the Starship rocket is capable of generating a thrust of 16 million pounds (70 meganewtons). This is almost twice as much as NASA’s Space Launch System (SLS) rocket.
Starship was first tested in April 2023. Since then it has gone through test flights five times. By building a rocket like Starship, Elon Musk wants to take astronauts directly to Mars from Earth or Moon.
